Kinds of Essays

A typical essay is made up of at least two elements. The first element is the matter or content of this essay, which might be any subject (business, social, scientific, political, spiritual, aesthetic, etc.), an opinion, or even an expository address (on any topic). The second element is the kind of delivery of the essay – in other words, the shape or structure of the essay. An article can contain a thesis statement, and it will be a clear discussion presented completely in the style of a debate, or a summary of related information, which will often support the writer’s standpoint.
